Restitution Recovery Unit
Michelle Yancey handles all the daily functions of the Restitution Recovery Unit. She is responsible for making payment arrangements with Defendants for past due balances owed on court ordered restitution/fines, monitoring restitution payments on criminal cases and preparing restitution dockets for failure to pay. She also performs other duties as directed by the District Attorney.
The purpose of the Restitution Recovery Unit is to monitor, track and collect delinquent restitution owed in criminal cases. A Restitution Officer is responsible for monitoring and tracking all court ordered payments made by the defendant.
The Restitution Recovery Unit Coordinator enforces the court’s order by different methods; restitution dockets and restitution agreements.
