Welcome to the website of the Etowah County District Attorney’s Office, Sixteenth Judicial Circuit, Etowah County, Alabama. This website is designed to introduce you to the office of the district attorney, Jody Willoughby, and assist the citizens of Etowah County in navigating through the legal justice system if they are the victims of crime, or a merchant in need of assistance with the collection of worthless check.

A number of specialized support units help in the administration of justice and protection of the rights of children, victims and witnesses. Our office is located on the ground floor of the Etowah County Judicial Building, 801 Forrest Avenue, Gadsden, AL 35901.

The Pre Trial Diversion Program was created to focus on the rehabilitation for first-time, non-violent offenders by participating in various corrective programs. Learn More
